Description

The elegant depiction of drooping willow branches, painted by Yukawa Shodo in the Showa period, conveys a calm and graceful atmosphere. The fine brushstrokes on silk make the movement of the branches in the wind feel vivid and capture the subtle beauty of nature. The background, which lets the moon shine through discreetly, reinforces the meditative mood and lends the work a poetic depth.

The kakemono is fitted with a jikusaki made of ceramics, underscoring its high-quality craftsmanship. It also bears the artist's stamp and is delivered with a signed wooden box, which ensures both the authenticity and the protection of this special work of art. A timeless masterpiece for lovers of traditional Japanese art.
