Description

The Heart Sutra (Hannya Shingyo) is written here in even, disciplined characters. It is one of the best-known and most frequently recited texts of Mahayana Buddhism, summarizing the teaching of the emptiness of all phenomena.

The calligraphy fills the entire picture surface in clear, calm columns and attests to great discipline in writing. Please note that one of the characters was overwritten at a later time – a flaw that can be clearly seen in the product images and slightly diminishes the overall condition of the work without diminishing its spiritual power.

The kakemono is delivered including a wooden box and is suitable both for collectors of religious calligraphy and for anyone who wishes to enjoy the meditative effect of the Heart Sutra.
