Description

An expressive masterwork of traditional Japanese painting: this artful kakemono from the Showa period depicts two birds moving between the brightly red leaves of an autumn tree and the elegant bamboo stalks. The color contrasts between the warm reds and the cool blues of the bamboo lend the scene an extraordinary depth and vividness.

With fine brushstrokes and masterful use of color, the artist captures the autumnal atmosphere – one almost imagines hearing the rustling of the leaves in the wind.

The painting was created on fine silk and stylishly finished with jikusaki made of bone. It combines the Japanese aesthetic of impermanence with the timeless beauty of nature – a perfect addition to any discerning interior or a valuable enrichment for collectors of traditional Japanese art.
