Description
Several columns of powerful characters render a wintry nature poem: the snow-covered mountain peaks resemble floating clouds, behind the forest the sun glitters after the rain. The brushwork combines strong, broad basic strokes with faster connecting lines, so that the characters retain a certain lightness despite their density, corresponding to the airy content of the image.
The poem combines two wintry images of nature – the cloud-like snow peaks and the light glittering after the rain – into an atmospheric unity, as is often found in classical nature poetry.
Such a calligraphy hanging scroll is particularly suited for the winter months or as permanent wall decoration for lovers of wintry landscape poetry.
